

Ophelie Lafay, Special Projects Director
Ophelie Lafay joined Shadwell Global Partners in January 2025 as the Special Projects Director. She brings with her over 15 years of experience in communications and event planning. Having a culturally diverse background, she has assisted clients in building successful campaigns before a variety of audiences throughout Europe and North America. From developing and managing official international ceremonies, to organizing concerts and street marketing events, Ophelie knows how to navigate large scale projects from inception to execution. Her integrative approach to public affairs, media relations, and event planning has enabled her to provide large scale solutions to international clients – garnering her recognition from diplomates and the White House.
Ophelie began her career at the BBDO Corporate Paris group, where she gained unparalleled experience in media relations for multinational companies such as Rolex, Evian, and Orange just to name a few. She then founded the communications agency Mediamaniak to launch regional advertising campaigns (for the Caen Memorial, the city of Hérouville Saint-Clair, etc.). Over the years, her passion for project management has allowed her to leverage her PR and advertising skills to optimize marketing campaigns for her clients.
Ophelie is bilingual and fluent in English and French. Living in Normandy, France, she holds a bachelor's degree in communications with a specialization in marketing communications. She also honed her skills with a year in multimedia studies at Saint Boniface College in Canada.
Her passion for history and World War II led her to the mission of organizing the 80th anniversary of D-Day in Utah Beach, Normandy, in 2024.
